2025 Instrumentation Industry Development Index Released at 2026 High-end Instrument Innovation and Development Forum

On March 28, 2026, the High-end Instrument Innovation and Development Forum, a core parallel forum of the annual Zhongguancun Forum, was held in Beijing. With the theme of "Intelligent-Instrument Integration, Innovation Leading the Future", the forum officially released the 2025 Annual Instrumentation Industry Development Index, systematically analyzed the development pattern and medium and long-term trends of the global instrumentation industry, and gathered representatives from global industry regulatory authorities, research institutions and leading enterprises for in-depth discussions.

According to the index, the global instrumentation market size surpassed USD 820 billion in 2025, with a steady Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 6.5%. In terms of regional pattern, North America and Europe account for more than 60% of the global high-end market share, while the Asia-Pacific region has become the core growth engine of the global market with an annual CAGR of 8.5%.

The index also clarified that the deep integration of artificial intelligence and scientific instruments has become the core competitive track of the global instrumentation industry. Industry competition is shifting from the competition over standalone hardware performance to full-ecosystem competition covering "hardware + AI algorithm + data services". The forum also released a number of innovative achievements in high-end instrument complete systems and core components, and reached multiple industry consensus on core topics such as mutual recognition of global industry standards, technological innovation, and supply chain restructuring.
